7 Things I'm Loving
1.
I love analogue cameras. This is just beautiful. (Source: Nicole Tan)
2.
I love when street style is so neat and clean cut! Her hair is incredibly enviable and the whole outfit just makes her appear so confident but in such an intriguing, non-arrogant way. Love it. (Source: The Sartorialist)
3. Thought Catalog is a blog/non-blog with non-fiction and thoughtful content. It's a little hit and miss with its output but once in a while you find a real gem of an article. This week I was made aware of 2 that really grabbed my attention.
23 Ways To Turn A Woman On
Last, Last And Last
4.
It is simple and clean design like this that make me love everything to do with letters and packages. The feeling you get when you receive something in the post is so good but when it looks this good, it's even more exciting. (Source: Joanna Goddard)
5.
Yet another must-have for anyone who loves writing letters. I've wanted one of these for as long as I can remember, it seems when things become more popular the easier it is to find and buy them!
6.
My new Ikea bedding. Yesssss!

2012 In Song.
2012 was a really mixed year yet music, as always, was there throughout. Each of these songs brings memories back to me. The last one being from Amsterdam, a highlight of the year.

Hello 2013
Disclaimer: Negative statements not welcome.
2013 should be about dreams coming true and making the most of what you have right now. So let's do this.
What do you want? Who do you want? Where do you want to be?
This month I am doing Dry January. If you haven't had a drink this month yet, why don't you join me? I'm not doing it for charity as I know how poor everyone is the month after Christmas, but by putting it on here I'm hoping to raise awareness. There's a lot of personal reasons why going alcohol-free can be a great thing. The obvious would be money and health. More specifically for me, I've felt more spurred on because I think alcohol plays with your brain for days after you've had a drink. You can't work as efficiently as you'd like, negative thinking comes into play much more than what you actually normally feel and it's much harder to make important decisions. So there. That's what's going to keep me going and if I still feel positive in February about it, I might continue it. MIGHT.
Another thing I have started is this book...

It is aesthetically stunning but the whole concept is genius, too. The idea is that for every day of the year there will be a question. This question can be as simple as "what are you reading right now?" or a bit of a thinker like "what is your mission?" which in itself keeps you on your toes. Below this question there are 5 sections to write in, each one starting with 20__. This allows you to answer this question 5 different times over any 5 years of your choice. I loved it so much that I bought 5, 1 for myself and 4 as presents for friends.
This year I know that I will be:
Moving out of my flat in Bradford.
Figuring out what I want to do with my life.
Honest with myself.
Kind to others.
More productive.
Happy 2013 everyone and be kind to yourselves. January is a hard month, so just keep your head up and walk straight. February is just around the corner.
